What we use by default
Only cookies that are strictly necessary: to keep you signed in, to complete a sign-in securely, and to remember your cookie choice.

We also keep a few items in your browser's storage, never sent anywhere on their own: a random ID that proves which cookie choice was made on this browser (fc_device), a sign-in you started (fc_login_pending, cleared once you're in) and the video idea you typed on our homepage (fc_first_prompt, cleared once it's used). needs Vlad's check

Checkout and Google sign-in run on our payment partner's and Google's pages, which set their own cookies.
Analytics, if you allow it
If you choose “Allow analytics”, our product analytics provider receives which pages you open and a few product steps, linked to a random ID, never your email. It may record how you move through the app with all text, inputs, images and video hidden. We keep this data for at most 12 months. A cookie then also remembers how you found us for 30 days.
Page counts without cookies
We count visits to our pages without cookies: which page, the site that linked to it, the country, and the type of browser and device. This count stores no IP address and no identifier that follows you across sites or visits.
