Registered with the US Copyright Office as our designated agent, registration number DMCA-1083926.
2. Sending a notice
Email or post a notice with all of the following. A notice without them may not be valid:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- the work you believe is infringed (a link or a description);
- where the content is on FrameCutter (a link, or enough detail for us to find it);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Content on FrameCutter is private to the account that made it; we don't publish it. If the video is posted on another platform, report it there too: we can't remove posts from other sites.
3. What we do
We review every complete notice promptly. When it is valid, we remove or disable the content and tell the account holder, with a copy of the notice (your contact details may be included so they can reach you). We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. needs Vlad's check
4. Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, send our agent a counter-notice with:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- the content that was removed and where it was before;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you're outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We forward it to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 working days that they have gone to court, we may restore the content. needs Vlad's check
5. Other illegal content, and in the EU
For anything else you believe is illegal or breaks our Terms, or to report a copyright issue under EU rules, use Report content. We handle those reports as described in section 13 of our Terms.
6. Misuse
Sending a notice or counter-notice you know is false can make you liable for damages. If you're unsure, ask a lawyer first.
