The short version. FrameCutter edits the footage you film into videos you post yourself. You own your footage and your videos, and you're responsible for what you upload and post. Before any AI work runs, you see what it uses. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. Check every video before you post it: AI can be wrong, and nobody can promise views. If something goes wrong, email us first.
1. Who we are and who this is for
These terms are an agreement between you and Kairen AI Consulting (KvK 98386212), trading as FrameCutter (“we”, “us”; contact details in section 18) about your use of FrameCutter, a web app at framecutter.com. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use FrameCutter.
You must be at least 16 to use FrameCutter and 18 to buy a plan. If you use it for a business, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf. If you're a consumer, the mandatory consumer rights of your country still apply, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your email address up to date.
- Keep your email inbox and Google account secure: anyone who can read your sign-in codes can use your account.
- One account is for one person. Don't share it.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away at privacy@framecutter.com if you think someone else has access.
3. Plans, usage and payment
- Free includes 1 AI-edited video, editing done by our own software (silences, ums, best takes by rule, captions, effects), 10 minutes of footage a month, and a small “Edited with FrameCutter” mark on exports. Free has no top-ups.
- Starter (€30/month) and Pro (€60/month) each include a monthly usage pool for AI work and a footage cap (150 and 400 minutes a month). Pro's pool is larger and it can copy a style from videos you choose. How many videos a pool covers depends on how you use it; the Plan page gives a rough guide, not a promise.
- Usage. AI work uses part of your pool at what it really costs to run, times a fixed factor: a new video, a correction the AI editor makes, learning a style, chat messages past the day's free ones, and footage (per minute). You choose how to spend it. Settings changes, line changes, the cut strip and exports use nothing. Before an AI step runs, the most it can use is set aside; afterwards it uses only what it really cost, never more than that, and the rest goes back to your pool. A correction shows its maximum before you run it. Footage also counts against your plan's monthly footage minutes, once per clip.
- If something fails on our side, what it used is given back automatically.
- Your pool and footage minutes reset each billing period; what's unused doesn't carry over.
- Top-ups (€12 of extra usage) are for paying subscribers, are used after your plan's pool, and stay valid for 12 months from purchase, also after your plan ends.
- Who sells it to you. Plans and top-ups are sold to you by our payment partner, acting as reseller (merchant of record). It takes the payment, charges VAT, and sends your receipts and renewal reminders, and its terms of sale apply to the purchase. Your card statement shows “LINK.COM*”. Prices are in euros and include VAT.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel or switch plans any time under Plan → Manage plan; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for.
- We may change prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then.
- If a payment keeps failing, your subscription ends and your account moves to Free.
- Payments aren't refundable, including for partly used periods or unused usage, except under section 4 or where the law requires a refund.
4. EU right of withdrawal
If you're a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. When you buy, you ask us to start right away; if you withdraw within 14 days, you get a refund minus a proportionate amount for what you already used. To withdraw, email privacy@framecutter.com, or use the options in your receipt from our payment partner.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload footage you don't own or aren't allowed to edit and publish (for example someone else's stream or video, without their permission);
- upload footage of people who haven't agreed to appear in it, or edit someone's words to make them seem to say something they didn't;
- create content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, harassing or violent;
- upload or create sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors;
- create several accounts to get more free AI videos, or get around plan limits, usage checks or bot protection;
- scrape FrameCutter or use bots to access it, except through features we offer for that;
- reverse engineer FrameCutter or try to extract our code, prompts or models;
- resell or share access to FrameCutter, or offer it as part of your own service without our written permission;
- overload our systems or interfere with other users.
If you break these rules, or we reasonably believe you have, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or close your account, and report illegal content to the authorities. We act proportionately and tell you why, unless the law or safety reasons prevent it.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to your footage and to the videos you make. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display them only to provide FrameCutter to you, including sending what's needed to the providers in our Privacy policy. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire and where the law requires us to keep something. We don't publish your content and we don't post for you.
You alone are responsible for what you upload and publish: the rights to your footage and any music or material in it, the consent of people who appear in it, following the rules of the platforms you post to, and making sure what you post is truthful and lawful. To the extent the law allows, you indemnify Kairen AI Consulting (KvK 98386212), trading as FrameCutter against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you upload or publish, or from your breach of these terms.
Free exports carry a small “Edited with FrameCutter” mark. Please leave it on; it's how Free stays free.
7. What the AI does, and doesn't
FrameCutter's AI decides how to edit (which takes and lines to keep, the order, captions and effects); our software then cuts your real footage. It never generates video, faces or voices. AI edits can be wrong: a cut in the wrong place, a misheard word in a caption, a line you wanted kept. Watch every video before you post it. We don't guarantee any results: no views, followers or sales. Platforms decide what gets shown.
8. Storage and deletion
FrameCutter is an editor, not a backup. Keep your own copies of your footage. Originals are deleted 14 days after upload (a lighter copy stays for editing), and everything is deleted 30 days after a paid plan ends, as set out in our Privacy policy.
9. Other platforms
FrameCutter is independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, Google or any other platform; their names and trademarks belong to their owners. When you post, that platform's terms apply. We aren't responsible for how a platform treats your posts or account.
10. Our intellectual property
FrameCutter itself (the software, design, name, logo, caption looks, effects, sound effects and prompts) belongs to us or our licensors. While your account is open, you may use FrameCutter under these terms, and you may publish the videos you make with it, including our caption looks and effects in them. No other rights are granted.
11. Copyright and content complaints
If you believe content made with FrameCutter infringes your rights or is illegal, email privacy@framecutter.com with your name and contact details, the work or right concerned, where the content appears, why you believe it infringes, and a statement that your notice is accurate and made in good faith. We'll review it promptly, remove content where appropriate and tell the account holder. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
12. The service “as is” and liability
We build FrameCutter with care, but provide it “as is” and “as available”. It may be interrupted, and we rely on third-party services that can fail or change. We may change, add or remove features, and we may discontinue FrameCutter; if we discontinue a paid plan we'll give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused period. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights about the conformity of digital services are not affected.
- We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities, or a platform's action against your posts or account.
- Our total liability for all claims is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or €100 if you paid nothing.
- These limits don't apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence (opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid), to death or personal injury, or to liability that can't be limited by law. Consumers keep all mandatory rights under the law of their country.
13. Ending your account
You can stop at any time: cancel your plan under Plan → Manage plan, or delete your account on the Account page. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately, without a refund for the current period (except under section 4), and deletes your content as set out in our Privacy policy.
We may suspend or close your account immediately if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, abuse the service, use it illegally or fraudulently, or if the law requires it. Otherwise we may close your account with 30 days' notice by email. Sections 6, 7, 10, 12, 15 and 16 continue to apply after your account ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for material changes we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree, you can cancel or delete your account before then.
15. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the District Court of Zeeland-West-Brabant (Rechtbank Zeeland-West-Brabant), location Breda. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring a claim where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please email privacy@framecutter.com; we'll try to solve it within 30 days.
16. General
These terms and our Privacy policy are the entire agreement between us about FrameCutter. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not transfer your account; we may transfer these terms as part of a merger or sale of the business, and we'll tell you if we do.
17. Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve FrameCutter without owing you anything for it.
